Marion – Ina Mae Absher, 80, of Chatham, Illinois formerly of Marion, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 3:35 am at the Veterans Home in Quincy.

Ina was born in Williamson County on May 29, 1935, the daughter of Edith (Springhart) and Harley L. Brush, Sr. She married Orie Absher in Williamson County on June 10, 1956. He survives in Quincy.

Mrs. Absher was a member of the Chatham Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, known for her cooking and sewing. Ina was a wonderful mother who will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her husband- Orie Absher of Quincy

Two Daughters- Sandy Walker of Chatham

Candy and husband Rodger Acree, Jr. of New Berlin

Grandchildren- Trevor Prescott Walker serving in the US Navy, Norfolk, VA

Bennett Edward Walker serving in the US Navy, Washington, DC

Jacob Ransom Clark of New Berlin

Wyatt James Clark of New Berlin

Joel Acree of Taylorville

Two Sisters- Shirley Martin of Marion

Myrna and Tom Litton of Marion

Sister-in-law- Daphene Brush of Marion

Several Nieces and Nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter- Vonda Lynn Absher, infant son- Terry Lee Absher, one brother- Harley Brush, Jr., one sister- Maxine Klope.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 1:00pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Milton Bost officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 – 8 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.

For those who prefer memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
