Peggy Jo Dotson, 90, went to be with her Savior on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 10:55 pm at Helia Healthcare of Energy, Illinois.

Peggy Jo was born June 20, 1930 in Dayton, Tennessee the daughter of Wilse Archibald and Gladys Leona (Bridges) Austin.  On August 9, 1947 in Hopewill, Virginia she married Thomas Edward McClenny who preceded her in death.  She later married Luther Dotson on March 27, 2002 in Dayton, Tennessee, who also preceded her in death.

Peggy Jo worked in retail, merchandising and ordering in the warehouse.

Survivors include her: Daughter – Suellen Sanders (Tom) of Marion

Son – Thomas Edward McClenney, Jr. (Mary Beth) of Tennessee

Son – George Henry McClenny (Betsy) of Crete, Illinois

Eight Grandchildren

Numerous Great Grandchildren

Sister – Sue Copeland of Amo, Indiana

Preceded by her Parents, Husband – Thomas McClenney, Second Husband – Luther Dotson and Sister – Lillian Hudson.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Portsmouth, Virginia.  Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
