John Robert Bissey, age 68 of Herrin died on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Herrin Hospital. Connie Sue Bissey, age 70, of Herrin passed away at 11:50 pm on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Herrin Hospital.
John was born in Clay City, Illinois on January 10, 1951, the son of Kenneth Earl and Ada Bell (Patterson) Bissey. Connie was born in Herrin on March 27, 1951, the daughter of Louis Angelo and Margaret June (Harris) Absher. They married on March 31, 1973 at the 1st Baptist Church in Energy, Illinois.

Connie’s Two Sisters- Marie and Sam Campanella of Energy
Paula and Robert “Bob” Oldani of Henderson, KY

Joint memorial services to celebrate the lives of Connie and John will be held at the Goddard Chapel in Rose Hill Cemetery at 1pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at Goddard Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Marion VFW, American Legion Posts and the National Guard Honor Guard Team. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
