Dorothy Evelyn Otterson, 92, of Herrin, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 5:03 pm at Heritage Woods of Benton.
Dorothy was born April 27, 1928 in Johnston City the daughter of Anton and Melvina (Richard) Eberhart. She married George Edward Moore and together they had four children. On September 10, 1994 she married the love of her life, Clarence Otterson who precedes her in death.
She retired from Zwick’s Ladies Store, where she was a seamstress for many years. Dorothy was a member of Church of God, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafts of any kind. She was an avid reader.

Daughter – Patricia Joplin (Pastor Rod) of Benton
Daughter – Terri Moore Little of Lake of Egypt

Proceded by her Parents, Husband – Clarence, Infant Daughter – Diane Elizabeth Moore, 3 Brothers – Fred, Louis, Marvin Eberhart
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 12 pm at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Pastor Rod Joplin officiating. Burial will follow in Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
