Shirley Ann Schaefer, age 81, formerly of Herrin, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Home in Evansville, Indiana.

Shirley was born in Herrin on November 15, 1937, the daughter of Robert and Amy (Lafoon) Jarvis. She married Earl Schaefer in 1974. He preceded her in death in 1980.

Mrs. Schaefer was a homemaker.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law- Robert and Christy Schaefer of Evansville, IN

Grandson- Brandon Schaefer of Evansville, IN

Granddaughter- Tiffany Schaefer of Evansville, IN

Brother- Bob Jarvis of Carterville

Sister- Phyllis Gulley of Energy

Several Nieces and Nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Herrin City Cemetery with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
