Herrin –Rosalie M. Barnes, age 96, of Herrin, passed away at 5:30am on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Marion Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Rosalie was born September 10, 1919 in Herrin, the daughter of Roscoe and Martha (Jeralds) Pedigo. She married Orval Lynn Barnes on June 20, l936 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2001.
She attended the Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church in Herrin. Prior to retirement, she had worked as a sales clerk at Kholdorf’s Clothing Store for more than twelve years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson- Wesley Barnes, and brother- Kenneth Pedigo.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 11:00am on Friday at the funeral home.
