Bush- Judith Elaine (Holland) Price, age 66, of Hurst, passed away at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Judith was born in Herrin on August 7, 1947, the daughter of James Earl and Doris (Pinkston) Holland.

Judy worked at Shawnee Alliance for several years.

Survivors include her son- Chris Price of Bush

Son- Frank (Teresa) Price of Hurst

Father- James Holland of Bush

Granddaughter- Khara Price of Hurst

Sister- Ramona (Dwight) Jackson of Corinth

Sister-in-law- Linda Holland of Jacksonville, FL

Like a Granddaughter- Justine Bedwell of Zeigler and Shelli Drue of Bush

Aunt- Pansy Piper of Bush

Aunt- Lacoma Bartlow of Hurst and her son- Nikki Bartlow

Nephew- Mike (Tiffany) Stallons of Dallas, GA and his children- Aby and Julie Stallons

Niece- Stephanie and Matt Hannon and her children- Jacob and Dylan Monaco

Niece- Natalie Stellers of Barelson, Texas

Nephew- Jay Holland of Jacksonville, FL and his son- Jessie Holland

Brother-in-law- Mark and Tammy Phillips of Cambria

She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris, and her brother- James Holland, Jr.

Private funeral services will be held. Rev. Danny Norman will officiate. She will be interred next to her mother at BlairsvilleCemetery. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with arrangements.

For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the Blairsville Cemetery Association or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home; 201 S 13th Street; Herrin, IL 62948.

    I’m so sorry for your loss. We first met Judy when my son, Josh and Frankie played little league football. Years later I worked with her @ Shawnee Alliance. Judy was a lot of fun and we miss her humor at work, we still laugh at Easter time about how she could eat Peeps by the dozens. She’s the only person I know that could accomplish that feat. I pray that God will help you through this difficult time and that your memories of all the good times will pull you through.

We had lost touch with Judy and her family, but I will always remember our fun times together. Lots of week ends they would load us up and head to Six Flags or somewhere else to have a good time!     I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I met Judy back in the 90′s when I started working at Shawnee Alliance for Seniors. She was a great lady, who always made everyone feel loved. She and I had some great times together. She loved Holidays and decorating for them. Her Christmas village was the best! She always loved to decorate her office. I will miss her, but feel so very blessed to have known her and share so many memories. Prayers and hugs to you all.
