I grieve with all of you on our loss. Be consoled that Mom’s life is being rewarded by her place in heaven. We are all better people because she was part of our lives. I hope we remember what she taught us, and carry that always as we move on.

I am so sorry to read of the passing of Gloria.
She volunteered for me at the VAMC in Marion, Il. We became very good friends. She was so kind to me. I have met John and Mark but felt like I knew all of her kids as we talked about each of our kids each week. I felt like we were family. I lost contact with her over the last few years. In fact she has been on my mind for the last two weeks. I was commenting about her to a friend of mine who also worked at the VA. I planned on attending her service and am so sorry I could not be there as I woke up dizzy and sick today. I will miss her but she will stay with me in my heart as I know she will with all of you. My thoughts and prayers go with you.

Mark, I was truly sadden to hear of your Mother’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I still think of the times we used to play G I Joes in your basement in Sheridan when we were young and all the fun times we had in high school. It is good memories like that that helped me when my Mom passed and I hope they can help you in this time of sorrow. God Bless your Friend always Wally

Condolences to you all. I met Grandma Ida in 1974 when I moved onto Pear Lane (Lakewood Park) as a young bride. She sent John to meet us and we are still good friends today. I really became friends with Gloria when she retired to Crainville. If I drove her to an appointment, she always wanted to swing through KFC on the way home to buy dinner for us. Her generosity and unselfishness was impressive. I loved the stimulating conversations we shared-she definitely knew her mind! She will be missed.

Hello Mark. I am sorry for your loss. I lost my mother last year and she was one year older than your mother.I certainly remember you and your mother in Sheridan. I was your teacher the year that you moved.
