Kenneth H. Simmons

Kenneth Herbert Simmons-84, died 8:10 P.M., Saturday, November 23, 2002 at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion.

Kenneth was born September 13, 1918 in Williamson County, Illinois to Herbert & Mabel (Ollis) Simmons. He married Wanda (Starnes) Simmons. She preceded him in death.

He was retired chef from the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Marion. He attended West Monroe Street Apostolic Church in Herrin.

Survivors Include:
One Brother: Hubert Earl McCormick of Aurora

Four Sisters: Alene Barringer of Lick Creek
Velma Robinson of Marion
Vera Benedict & Husband Hubert of Marion
Wilma Shadowens & husband Ray of Marion

Also survived by several nieces & nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, James
Leslie McCormick.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Shorty Alsip officiating. Burial will follow at McKinney Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, November 25, 2002 from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
