RICHARD ANTHONY "RICK" STROUD

Herrin-Richard Anthony "Rick" Stroud-26, died at 9:45 A.M., Sunday, November 17, 2002 at Herrin Hospital.

Rick was born July 10, 1976 in Herrin to Richard M. "Rick" Stroud and Jacedna (Whittenburg) Jarvis.

Rick was employed as a roofer. He attended Herrin High School. He also attended Lake Creek Baptist Church. Rick was a very talented artist. He enjoyed drawing, and writing poetry. He also enjoyed playing his guitar. He also admired the music of Elvis Presley.

Sisters: Amanda Stroud of Carterville
Kelly Kenner Kranawetter & husband Kim of Cape Girardeau, MO.
Cathy Motsinger & husband Michael of Marion
Terry Rhodes & husband Bernie of West Frankfort
Brother: Mike Jarvis & Wendy Leadingham of Zeigler

Grandmother: Wanda Jarvis of Zeigler
Grandfathers: Jim Stroud of Pittsburg
Harold Buttrum of Marion
Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews

He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandmother, Dorothy Buttrum, maternal grandparents, Jack & Marie (Bledsoe) Whittenburg

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a. m., Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Number Eight Cemetery in Corinth. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p. m. at Johnson-Hughes.
