Shirley Jean Shelton

Herrin-Shirley Jean Shelton, 66 of Herrin died 1:23 A.M., Thursday, May 24, 2001 at Herrin Hospital

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 26, 2001 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Don Colson & Bill Gentry officiating.
Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was Friday evening at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shelton was born December 21, 1934 at Gorham, Illinois to Roy & Ruth (Kellums) Dailey.
She married Jodie \"Joe\" Shelton on December 23, 1951 at Marion, Illinois. He survives.
Mrs. Shelton was a homemaker and a protestant.

Two Sons: Dennis Shelton & wife Linda of Herrin
Bob Shelton of Herrin
Five Grandchildren: Jeremy McBride of Herrin
Brianna Shelton of Herrin
Rachel Shelton of Vergennes, IL.
Chris Shelton of Herrin
Zachery Shelton of Herrin
One Great Granddaughter: Madyson McBride of Herrin
Two Sisters: Virginia Shelton of DeSoto, IL.
Carolyn Shelton of Effingham, IL.
Two Brothers: Bob Dailey of Milstadt, IL.
James Dailey of Phoenix, AZ.
One Sister In Law: Bertha Roberson of Royalton, IL.
Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, two brothers, Charles and Roy Dailey, Jr, preceded her in death.
