Inez Marie Jacques
Herrin- Inez Marie �The Flower Lady� Jacques, 95, of Herrin, passed away at 11:59 PM, Monday, March 7, 2011 at her home.
Inez was born on September 28, 1915 in Muhlenberg, KY to George Washington & Katie M. (Mount) Rone.
She was a homemaker and cared for her family. She spent twenty one years as the Bar Manager at the American Legion Hall in Herrin.
She was a former member of the Herrin American Legion Ladies Aux. She enjoyed flower gardening and had quite the �green thumb�. The Southern ran an article about her flower gardens in the newspaper and she was referred to as �The Flower Lady� thereafter. She could grow anything but tomatoes.

She was pre ceded in death by her parents, brothers- Raymond Talbot Rone, Elwood Glenn Rone & Clarence Rone and sisters- Ruby E. Rone & Lyndell Mae Lane.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 11, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois or a charity of the donor�s choice which benefits children in need and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/ 201 S. 13th St./ Herrin, IL 62948.
