Eugene R. "Bino" Gregg
Herrin- Eugene �Bino� Gregg, 82, of Herrin, passed away at 6:34 AM, Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Herrin Hospital.
Bino was born on May 11, 1928 in Herrin to William & Mary (Dillo) Gregg. He worked many years as a gravedigger for Wilbert Vault Company in Herrin prior to his retirement in 1988.
He was Baptist. Bino enjoyed camping with his friends and family, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include-
Soul mate and companion- Mary �Sadie� Tolbert of Herrin
Son- Sam Tubbs of Herrin
Son- Eugene Gregg, Jr. and wife Kerry of Carterville
Daughter- Patricia Sellers of Herrin
Daughter- Billie Tolbert of Kannapolis, NC
Son- Bobby Tolbert of Herrin
Daughter- Belinda Tolbert of Johnston City
Daughter- Linda Newbolds and husband Jerry of Marion
Seventeen grandchildren
Fourteen Great Grandchildren
Brother- James Gregg & wife Nadine of Centralia
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother- Clarence Gregg and two sisters- Florine Reed and Eunice Mays.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 25, 2010 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/ 201 S. 13th St/ Herrin, IL 62948.
