Laura Belle Parks
Marion- Laura Belle Parks, 79, of Marion, passed away at 1:45 PM, Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Louis University Hospital.
Laura was born on September 27, 1930 in Williamson County to Clyde & Eva (Jackson) Chamness. She married Gerald Parks on October 23, 1959 in Spillertown. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1977.
Laura was a homemaker and caregiver and a member of Center Baptist Church in Crab Orchard. She was a �We Care� member at Shawnee Village.

Son- Gerald L. Parks of Crab Orchard
Daughter- Susan E. Hale of Marion
Grandchildren:
Whitney Parks of Crab Orchard
Dylan C. Hale of Marion
Dustin Copher of Marion
Brother- Clydell Chamness of Marion
Brother- Robert Chamness of Spillertown
Sister- Thelma Chamness of Spillertown
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters- Bessie Groves, Betty Foster & Margy Chamness, 1 brother- Lee Chamness and brother and sister in law- Harold and Aleene Parks.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Pastor Ivan Ryan will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant (Shed) Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
