Opal June Bowen
Opal June Bowen, 72, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 10:45 A.M. at her home in Herrin.
Opal was born June 6, 1936 in Herrin the daughter of Albert & Dorothy (Reams) Caraker.
She was a member of West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin and she had worked at various restaurants as a waitress and cook.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Terry Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
