Ralph Varner

Johnston City- Ralph Varner, 78, of Johnston City died at 10:15 AM, Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at his home.

Mr. Varner was born on December 3, 1923 in Carbondale, IL to Fred & Lauren Jane (Smothers) Varner. They precede him in death.

Mr. Varner retired from work as a laborer.

Sister- Lacine McGuire- Johnston City
Sister- Lucille Sabatino- Johnston City

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 29, 2001 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Floyd Dorris will officiate. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
