Steve G. Wiggs

Herrin - Steve Wiggs, 32, died at 8:05 a. m. on Thursday, May 10, 2001 at his home.

Mr. Wiggs was born October 13, 1968 in Marion, IL to Claude \"Gene\" & Pauletta (McGee) Wiggs.

He was a 1986 Herrin High School Graduate. After high school Stephen obtained his mechanics training from Nashville Auto/Diesel College.

Steve worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Vernell\'s Interstate Wrecker Service in Marion for close to eight years. In his spare time Steve enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of the Fin & Feather Club in Freeman Spur. He was either fishing with his buddies or teaching his Golden Retriever \"Hunter\" to hunt. He was also an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.

His paternal grandparents preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 12, 2001 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Jerry Schell will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in rural Carbondale. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Friday, May 11, 2001 at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lone Oak Baptist Church- Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
