Bertha J. Holderfield
Marion � Bertha J. Holderfield, 91, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at Fountains Nursing Care Center in Marion.
Bertha was born March 16, 1916 the daughter of Vess & Ida (Ollis) Burns in Johnson County. She married Jack Holderfield on January 10, 1937 in Williamson County and together they shared over 55 years of marriage until his death on September 4, 1993.
Bertha was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Marion. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by:
Brother � Ernie Estel Burns and wife Claudia of Carterville
Sister � Imogene Moss of Marion
Sister � Vida Boyd of Marion
Several nieces and nephews
Preceded by � Parents, Husband � Jack, Brother � Loy Burns, Two Sisters � Lola Burns and Allen Burroughs.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. R.G. Walls officiating. Burial will follow in McKinney Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 � 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
