Lillie Mae Cook
Bush- Lillie Mae �Granny� Cook, 73, of Bush, passed away at 9:30 AM, on Friday, January 11, 2008 at Herrin Hospital.
Lillie Mae was born on March 14, 1934 in Bush to John Sam & Mattie Lillian (Whitacker) Holland. She married Dale Cook on July 5, 1949 in St. Louis, MO. He survives of Bush.
She was a homemaker and of Pentecost faith.
Survivors include-
Husband- Dale Cook of Bush
Grandson- Bobby Eugene Cook of Crab Orchard
Great Granddaughters- Ricci, Cassie & Bobbi Cook
Special niece/sister- Shelby Groover
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son- Richard Eugene Cook, one grandson- Richard Allen Cook, six brothers and sisters in law- James & Edith Holland, Edward Holland, Oathur �Boob� Holland, Henry & Anne Holland, Charles & Ruby Holland, Richard & Annette Holland, sisters and brothers in law- Irma & Bud Thompson, Midge & Floyd Inchcliff & two infant sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 14, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Gene Rauls will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/ 201 S. 13th St./ Herrin, IL 62948.
