Evelyn C. Cooksey
Marion- Evelyn Catherine Cooksey, 88, of Marion, passed away at 11:50 AM, Saturday, November 18, 2006 at The Fountains Nursing Center of Marion.
Evelyn was born on January 28, 1918 in Metropolis to Oscar Lee & Effie Lee (Green) Reed. She married Troy Cooksey on June 7, 1936 in Benton. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Cooksey owned & operated Cooksey�s Bait Shop with her husband for 44 years and in later years with her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Ron Reed. Evelyn was baptized in 1950. She was a member of the Jehovah Witness Congregation in Marion. She went door to door as a full time evangelizer for 56 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and eight brothers & sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Jehovah�s Witness Kingdom Hall, 9490 Route 148 in Carterville, with Aaron Queensbury officiating. Inurnment will follow at a leter date at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy.
