Vernell Baggett
HERRIN- Vernell �Bud� Baggett, age 86, of Herrin, passed away at 11:15pm on Thursday January 19, 2005 at the Veteran�s Administration Hospital in Marion.
Vernell was born on April 25, 1919 in Brookport, IL to John and Edith (Henley) Baggett. He married Geneel Housewright at the Lone Oak Baptist Church in Energy, IL in 1940. She preceded him in death on December 19, 1986.
Bud was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include-
2 daughters- Jeanette Sollami- Herrin, IL
Susie Cannon- Energy, IL
2 sons- Michael Baggett- Benton, IL
Randy Baggett- Energy, IL
10 grandchildren- Kendra, David and Jeff Butcher

Logan and Colin Baggett
10 great grandchildren
Very dear friend- Billy Bob Helms- Herrin, IL
His Faithful Companion- Little Bit
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife- Geneel, one daughter- Joyce Ann Butcher, and one brother- Russell Baggett.
As per his wishes, his body will be cremated. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is handling the arrangements. A private family graveside service will be held at the Alto Pass Cemetery in Alto Pass, IL. Rev. Jerry Schell will officiate.
