Robert J. Politan
Herrin- Robert J. �Bob� Politan, 90, of Herrin, passed away at 4:57 AM, Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Herrin Hospital.
Mr. Politan was born on July 31, 1915 in Colp to Leonardo & Teresa Politan. He married Ruth Harris on October 9, 1942 in Jackson, MO. She survives of Herrin.
Bob was a retired pipe-fitter. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of Pipe-Fitters Union #551 in West Frankfort.

Nephews- John & Gary Politan
He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Nolan Clark, grandson; Randall Clark, brothers; Bruno, Tony, Vincent & Frank Politan, and one sister; Carbella Politan.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Shorty Alsip will officiate. Entombment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 6:00PM- 9:00PM, Friday, October 7, 2005 at the funeral home.
