Waldo L. Popenhagen
Marion � Waldo L. Popenhagen, 66, passed away Thursday, June 09, 2005 at 8:25 P.M. at his residence.
Waldo was born November 07, 1938 in Hobart, Indiana to Walter & Lena (Boy) Popenhagen. He married Susan �Hope� Fields Mink on January 14, 1995 in Whittington, Illinois. She survives in Marion.
Waldo retired from US Steel in Hobart, Indiana. He worked at Bombardier in Benton. Waldo was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving his country in the Marine Corp. He was a member of 1st Pentecostal Church in Herrin.

Funeral services will be Sunday, June 12, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Michael Tetmeyer and Rev. Joe Elias officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military services will be performed by VFW Post #1301 and American Legion Post #147 of Marion. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 � 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
