Bill Cadle

Marion � Bill Cadle, 82, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 1:45 P.M. at Fountains Nursing Care Center in Marion.

Bill was born September 15, 1922 to William Herbert �Bill� and Effie Faye (Parks) Cadle in Marion. He married Lowanda Johns on April 06, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas and she survives in Marion.

Bill was a farmer and livestock dealer. He served his country in the Army 82nd Airborne during WWII, in the European Theater. He served from North Africa to Berlin. Bill was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge � Saline #339 and the VFW Post #1301 of Marion. He was a deacon at McKinney Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, a Williamson County Deputy Sheriff from 1969 � 1978. He served as a Director of Southeastern Electric Co-op for 40 years and on the Board of Directors for Southern Illinois Power Co-op and AIEC for 38 years.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 25, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at McKinney Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin McNeely and Rev. Kenneth Blumenstock officiating. Burial will follow in McKinney Chapel Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by VFW Post #1301 and American Legion Post #147 of Marion. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 � 9:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion and from 11:00 � the time of service at the church. Masonic services will be performed by Saline Lodge #339 at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
