William Troy Chapman

Carterville- William "Troy" Chapman, 54, of Carterville, passed away at 8:49 PM, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Herrin Hospital. Troy was born on July 5, 1962 in Otto Township, IL to William Robert and Lucille Alice (Vaccaro) Chapman.  Since June 2013, he enjoyed living with his friends at Alta Drive in Carterville. He was catholic and enjoyed spending time going on different adventures and laughing with his friends and family at Our Directions in Carterville.  He had a passion for shopping at Wal-Mart, eating at McDonald restaurants, and going to baseball games. His favorite baseball team was the Cardinals. He also loved to sing and dance. His favorite artist was Kenny Rogers and his favorite song was The Gambler. Survivors include his numerous friends and staff members of Our Directions in Carterville. A memorial service will be held the first day of summer- Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in the Herrin Wal-Mart Parking Lot. Everyone is welcome to attend.  Memorial services were arranged through Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.  There will be a small gathering at his home at Alta Drive in Carterville after the ceremony.
