William Joe Mason

Herrin- William Joe Mason, age 88, of Herrin, passed away at 12:07pm on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Herrin Hospital. William was born in Manilla, Arkansas, the son of Harold and Lucy Mason. He married Evelyn Mason in Chicago. She preceded him in death. Prior to his retirement, William had worked as a custodian for Herrin Hospital for more than 29 years. He was very dedicated to his job, only missing one day of work. Survivors include his daughter- Brenda Webb of Herrin Grandchildren- David and Vanessa Webb of West Frankfort Seven Great Grandchildren Memorial services will be held at 1pm on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Terry Griffith officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 11am-1pm on Friday at the funeral home. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the West Monroe Apostolic Church.
