Wanda “Faye” Evans, 71, of Marion, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 9:40 pm at her home. Faye was born February 2, 1946 in Marion the daughter of Luther and Sophie (McGuire) Frey. She married Larry Evans on February 14, 1986 in Marion and together they have shared 31 years of marriage. She was of the Baptist Faith. Faye and Larry worked together, traveling across the country at horse race tracks. Survivors include her;Husband – Larry Evans of Marion Son – Robby Owens(DeDe) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee Son – Tim Owens (Kathy) of Decherd, Tennessee Son – Kevin Owens (Mickey) of Marion Ten grandchildren; Robby Wayne, Brittany, Amanda, Samantha, Tabatha, Savanna, Jera, Mitchell, Laura and Justin Thirteen great grandchildren Sister – Lois Zdankiewicz Sister – Yvonne Martin Preceded by her Parents, Son – Jerry Owens, Grandson – Dustin Owens, Two Sisters – Amla Swafford and Juanita Wilkens. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Bradley Dexter officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Homes, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
