Thomas Michael Rothchild

Thomas Michael Rothchild, age 39, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 11:13 A.M. in Vancouver, Washington.  He was born October 7, 1983 in Mesa, Arizona. In 1986 his family moved to Herrin, Illinois where he spent his childhood and graduated from Herrin High School in 2002. He then attended the University of Illinois and worked part-time at the East Side Lumber in Champaign. He later moved to Boise, Idaho and graduated from Boise State University with a degree in accounting. He later married Kami Soonthonpakdee in May 2017 in Thailand. His jobs gave him opportunities to live in several states in the Western United States. He loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time hiking and fishing with his family and exploring the beauty of God's magnificent scenery throughout the West and Northwest. He also enjoyed playing basketball throughout his life.

Tommy gave his whole family many cherished memories of trips out west to visit him and his family, showing us all the National Parks and many other of natures treasures that he had visited. Tommy liked challenges. We all have some funny stories of Tommy wanting us to experience some of his adventures with him, like tubing on the Clear Creek River.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife Kami, his precious 4 year old son, Liam Valentine Rothchild; parents, Robert Rothchild and Janice Reis Hampton; brothers, Dax Rothchild and Joshua Rothchild; sisters, Megan Rothchild Adams and Jordan Rothchild Atkins; and step-sister Catie Hampton Gibbens; several nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He had especially spent a lot of time with his oldest nephew Dalton Rothchild.

Tommy was preceded in death by his grandparents;  Willis and Alice Rothchild and Donald and Mary Ann Reis;  and several uncles and an aunt.

Tommy will be deeply missed by his family but as his little son said, " but Dada is in Heaven now." Tommy was a wonderful Daddy to his son.

A celebration of his life may be held at a later time.
