Thoi Thi Doan

Johnston City- Thoi Thi Doan, 71, of Johnston City, formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away at 8:13 AM, Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Herrin Hospital. Thoi was born on August 28, 1946 in Long Khanh, Vietnam to Huong Van Doan and Lan Thi Vo. She retired at age 63 after working many years at Packaging Concepts in St. Louis. She was Buddhist and enjoyed travelling as much as possible, especially back home to Vietnam. She was a hardworking and dedicated woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and playing games of chance like; Tu Xac, Tien Len and Tai Ty. Survivors include- Daughters- Dao Thi Vo and husband Ank of Vietnam Lieu Doan and husband Thanh of Salem Thao Thi Doan and husband Ty of St. Louis Kieu Doan and husband Ho of Herrin Son- Loi Doan and wife LP of Marion 16 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren Brother- Cuong Van Doan of Vietnam Sister- Thai Thi Doan of Vietnam Numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and Daughter- Anh Thu Doan. She will be cremated at 7:00 AM, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 and taken back to her beloved Vietnam by her family. Visitations will be held until 9:00 PM, Monday, May 21, 2018 and from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, May 22. 2018 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
