Thelma Darline Fann-Spiller, age 90, of Hurst, Illinois, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at Herrin Hospital in Herrin, Illinois.
Thelma was born March 26, 1932 in Bush, Illinois, a daughter of Frank and Mattie (Sisk) Pierce. She married Thomas Edward "Blue Eyes" Fann in Marion on February 4, 1950. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1976. She later married Sherman Spiller. He also preceded her in death.
Darline was a member of the Crossroads Tabernacle Church in Hurst. She spent her life as a homemaker, raising her family.
Survivors include:
Daughter- Cindy Bailey of Cambria
Daughter- Peggy Holland of Bush
Daughter- Rose Grist of Herrin
Son and Daughter-in-law- Tom and Ruth Fann of Bush
Son and Daughter-in-law- Jim and Jennifer Fann of West Frankfort
Numerous cherished and adored Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, five brothers- Roy, Jake, Kenneth, Delbert, and Elbert Pierce, four sisters- Betty Pierce, Lilly Mize, Mildred Pittman, and Helen Inchcliff, and two son-in-laws- Jack Bailey and JC Holland.
Graveside services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Blairsville Cemetery with Sister Linda Godfrey officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
