Terry G. Hill, age 59, of Marion, passed away at 5:23am on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. On Memorial Day, he Bar-B-Que’d for his family, worked in the yard, and enjoyed the company of his family. The next morning, he had a sudden and unexpected stroke. Terry was born in Marion on November 3, 1958, the son of Robert and Rosetta (Norman) Hill. He graduated from Marion High School in 1976. Terry married his wife Vicki (Fitzgerald) Hill on November 4, 1978. They shared 39 years of marriage. He enjoyed hunting and golf with his son Jonathan. Hunting and golf was their life. He also enjoyed fishing and making duck calls. Terry worked nearly twenty years at American Coal and the last two and a half years at AISIN Manufacturing. He was looking forward to retiring this August 2018.  Terry loved to travel with his wife and family. They had just planned his sixth Hawaiian vacation for October. Terry had bought tickets and planned a vacation as a retirement gift for a family vacation. He knew and loved everyone and he was known and loved by everyone. Survivors include his wife- Vicki Hill of Marion Mother- Rosetta Dement of DuQuoin Two Sons- Timothy Hill of Marion Jonathan Hill of Marion Three Grandchildren- Kallie Marie and Kaiden Hill of Marion Harlo Belcher of Marion Sister- RoseAnn Hill of DuQuoin He was preceded in death by his father, brother- Shawn Hill, and a stillborn sister. As he wished, there will be no formal services. He wished to be cremated and his ashes released in the waters of his favorite beach, Kaanapali Beach, in Maui, Hawaii. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements.
