Steven Ray Hess

Harrisburg- Steven Ray Hess, 53, of Harrisburg, formerly of Herrin and Energy, died tragically at 2:30 AM, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Steven was born on June 24, 1964 in Herrin to Phyllis (Jarvis) Gulley of Energy. He formerly worked at Aisin in Marion. He was Baptist. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and time indoors on his computer. He formerly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include- Mother- Phyllis Gulley of Energy Daughters- Bridgett Hess and Amy Grant of Herrin Several grandchildren Sister- Shelia Baseden of Energy Sister- Dana Lantrip and husband Ricky of Energy Several nieces and nephews and aunts, uncles and cousins He was preceded in death by his grandparents. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 14, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Greg Bittle will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until time of service, Friday, at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
