Shirley Ann Fisher

Shirley A. Fisher, age 87, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Herrin Hospital.
Shirley was born November 03, 1934 in Carterville, Illinois, a daughter of Joseph and Alma L. (Gossett) Colp. When she was young her family moved to St. Louis, MO for a short while and moved back to Creal Springs, IL, and then to Marion, Illinois. Shirley graduated Marion High School and married shortly after to the love of her life, Frank E. Fisher on July 04, 1953 in Spillertown, IL. Shirley owned and operated Fisher Children's Wear clothing store in Marion for 30 years, closing in 1999. She then worked for Dillards in the children's shoe dept.
Shirley enjoyed traveling, watching Western Movies, listening to Elvis, spending time with her grandchildren, and loved her sweets (She had a Sweet Tooth).

She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda J. (Sam) Edwards of Marion, IL; three grandchildren, Jeremy A. (Megan) Allen of Mckenzie, TN, Blake Edwards of Marion, IL, and Dillon Edwards of Marion, IL; three great-grandchildren, Cameron B. Edwards, Fisher A. Allen, and Ruby S. Allen; and two siblings, Deon (Gerogia) Colp of Marion, IL and Linda Davis of Marion, IL. She is preceded in death by her spouse Frank E. Fisher and her parents, Joseph and Alma Lucille Colp.

Visitation will be Monday, August 29th, 2022 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 29, 2022, 11:00 AM at Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. David Colp and Rev. Jeremy Allen officiating. Entombment will follow at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy.
