Sharon K. Orman, age 73, of Carterville, Illinois,  passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at her residence.  

Sharon was born January 01, 1949 in Brazil, Indiana, a daughter of Bobby and Betty Jean (Robbins) Wallace.  She married Robert E Orman on January 14, 1967 in Harmony, IN.  Sharon grew up in Knightsville, IN and was a 1966 graduate of Van Buren High School.  She attended Ivy Tech and earned  a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She had worked at Stinson Nursing Home, then Clay County Hospital in the Emergency Room for 14 years.  She then worked as a Medical Auditor at Union Hospital until her retirement in 2010.  She and her husband moved to Carterville in 2021 to be near her daughter.  Sharon enjoyed crafting, crocheting, cooking (known for her dumplings), and followed the Cincinnati Reds Baseball and Indianapolis Colts Football.  She also enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved spending time with her grandchildren.  

She is survived by her husband Robert E. Orman of Carterville, IL; two children, Angie M. (Gale) Snow of Carterville, IL and Troy D. (Traci) Orman of Brazil, IN; five grandchildren, Jace Snow, Zoe (David) Carson, India Orman, Lexy Snow, and Jonas Orman; one great-grandchild, Grayson Snow; two siblings, Bobby (Mary) Wallace of Carbon, IN, Timothy (Louwanna) Wallace of Dana, IN, and sister-in-law Saundra Wallace of Des Moines, IA.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Betty Jean Wallace and two brothers, Gary Wallace and Ronnie Wallace.

As per her wishes, Sharon has chosen cremation as her final disposition.  Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
