Sharon Marie Smith

Marion- Sharon Marie Smith, 62, of Marion, passed away at 5:30 AM, Friday, June 16, 2017 at her home. Sharon was born on October 28, 1954 in Chicago to Gilbert and Betty (Hecker) Baldwin. She married Howard Smith on June 24, 1976 in Marion. Sharon was a dedicated wife and homemaker and also worked as an aide at Reflection’s Memory Care and Addus Home Health Care. She attended Messiah Christian Church in Marion and enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and catching up with friends and news stories via the computer. Survivors include- Mother- Betty Baldwin of Marion Husband- Howard Smith of Marion Daughter- Christine “Chrissy” Smith of West Frankfort 5 grandchildren: Desary Belle Marie Smith of Vienna Joshua Marshall Smith of Marion Ariel Ranae Snyder, Bethany Rose Snyder and Theron McClean Snyder al of West Frankfort Sister- Marge Baldwin-Kerrigan of Marion Several aunts, uncles and cousins She was preceded in death by her father and son- Brian. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, June 19, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Mike Jeter and Steve Glenn will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. The visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Monday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
