Sally Holland, age 73, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024 at her daughter's home in Freeman Spur, Illinois.

Sally was born November 20, 1950 in Doniphan, Missouri, a daughter of Ernest and Bertha (Aaron) Richardson. She married the love of her life, Paul Holland on March 15, 1969 in Johnston City.

She is survived by her husband- Paul Holland of Herrin, IL; three children- Kelly (Carl) Peters, Kathy (Holland) Benjamin, and Paul Holland Jr.; eight grandchildren- Gene (Elishia) Peters, Carla Whitfield, Sonya (Michael) Jepsen, Seanna (Zachary) Calcaterra, Stephen (Toni) Benjamin, Dalton (MaKenzie) Holland, Wyatt Holland, and AmyJo Holland; five siblings- JoAnn Chronister, Judy Baker, Joy (Keith) Singer, Oscar (Judy) Richardson, and John Richardson; her great grandchildren- Leila, Isaac, Noah, Syllus, Elijah, Damon, Carter, Atlas, Alivia, and Adalyn; and brother-in-laws- Elwood (Kathryn) Holland, Billy (Sharon) Holland, Tommy (Roberta) Holland, Ronnie Holland, James Holland; and her sister-in-laws- Nancy Charles, Patsy Askew, Faye (Rick) Curtis, Shirley Cook, and Angie (John) Murray; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by one son- Matthew Holland; one grandson- Dyllan Eugene Peters; her parents- Bertha (Aaron) and Ernest Richardson; four siblings- Charles Richardson, Martha Richardson, Jeff Richardson, and Ed Richardson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law- Marvin and Pauline Holland, sister-in-laws- Betty Lazorchak, Wendy George, and brother-in-law- Robin Holland.

Per the family's request, cremation rites will be accorded and no public services will be held at this time. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
