Russ retired to Southern IL following 35 years of Railroad Service with Illinois Central Railroad and the Northern Illinois Regional Transportation Authority. He was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors, enjoyed all sports as a player or spectator, whether in person or on TV. Russ also really enjoyed a good meal, good conversation and a cold, cold beer.

Russ was a kind, generous, charming, smart, faithful, funny, happy, sweet, irreverent guy. These are the gifts he brought to and shared with the world. If you ever met him, enjoyed his friendship or were lucky enough to be loved by him, your life is likely much better for the experience.

Thanks Russ, we will miss you.
