Roger Missavage

Roger Joseph Missavage, age 71, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 24th, 2021 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with Father Mark Reyling officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in West Frankfort. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, 2021 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Roger was born November 30, 1949 in Herrin, Illinois, a son of Albert and Alba (Seurusaitis) Missavage. He is survived by two siblings, Dennis Missavage of Atlanta, GA and Arlene Frances Liss (Gene) of Park Ridge, IL and his nephew, Marcus Missavage of Atlanta, GA, nephew Joseph Liss (Lara) of Park Ridge, IL, nephew John Liss of Mission, TX, nephew David Liss (Kim) of Clayton, MO, nephew William Liss of Chicago, IL, and several great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Missavage was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Prior to his retirement, he was a professor at Southern Illinois University.
