Phyllis Liska

Phyllis Liska, 78, of Herrin passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:34 pm at Herrin Hospital. She was born August 2, 1939 in Herrin the daughter of Leonard Rubben and Ruth Mary (Graham) Gregge. She married Jerry L. Liska on June 12, 1969 in DuQuoin and this month they have shared 49 years of marriage. She was a member of the Anna Chapter of the Eastern Star and she had worked as an LPN for Herrin Hospital. Phyllis enjoyed reading and watching soap operas. Survivors include her;Husband – Jerry Liska of Herrin Son – Terry Wade of Illinois Sister – Vicki Ladd of Carterville Sister & brother-in-law – Robyn & Bruce Finley of Pittsburg Brother & sister-in-law – David & Dawna Gregge of Jonesboro Several nieces & nephews Preceded by her Parents, brother – Leonard Eugene Gregge Funeral services will be Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 2 pm at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Herrin City Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday from 12 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
