Patricia Ann Lawwill

Herrin- PATRICIA A. LAWWILL, age 74, of Herrin, passed away at 10:54am on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Herrin Hospital.   Patricia was born in Herrin on October 4, 1944, the daughter of John R. and Evelyn Joyce (Shoemake) Berra.  She married Lindsey Clell Lawwill, Jr, in Herrin on December 19, 1965. Together, they shared forty-two years of marriage. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2008.   Mrs. Lawwill was of Catholic faith. Prior to her retirement, Pat was a stay-at-home mom who later began work as a head bank teller and business secretary. She loved her family and friends.  Pat loved her “second children’, her Yorkshire Terriers, Patch and Nelson.  She loved decorating, entertaining and visiting, a good movie quote, and doing kind things, like delivering cookies and sweets.  She will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her.   Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-law- Kevin R. and Wendy Lawwill of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky Daughter and Son-in-law- Michelle and Brandon Johnson of Herrin, IL Grandson- Nathan Lawwill of Edwardsville, IL Several Step Brothers and Sisters Mrs. Lawwill was preceded in death by her parents, John and Evelyn Berra, step-father- John F. Seymour, and husband- Lindsey Lawwill.   Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.  A time of visitation will be held from noon until 2pm on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.   For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
