Norman “Ray” Turner, 92, of Pittsburg, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 7:28 pm at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Ray was born March 14, 1925 in Williamson County the son of Norman and Orpha (Horn) Turner. On August 24, 1962 he married Earlene Dudley in Marion and together they shared over 53 years of marriage until her death on December 2, 2015.
He retired from Olin Mathinson. Ray loved spending time with his family. He was an avid gardener, always sharing the bounty with his family and friends. When he was younger he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ray was a Cardinal’s fan.

Preceded by his Parents, Wife – Earlene Turner, Son-in-law – Jerry Stapleton, Two brothers – Glenn & Lige Turner and Sister – Thelma Ridlen.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 1 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Blumenstock officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery in Pittsburg. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
