Myron David "Jack" Newell, Sr.

Herrin- Myron David "Jack" Newell, Sr., age 88, of Herrin, passed away at 9:50am on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.
He was born in Peoria on March 28, 1930, the son of Charles and Dorothy Baker. He married Mary Ellan Murray on November 22, 1956. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Burial will follow at Denning Cemetery in Orient. Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Friday at the funeral home.
