Michael Edward Shadowens

Michael Edward Shadowens, 49, of Energy, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 9:53 am at his home. Michael was born October 15, 1968 in Marion the son of Walter Eugene and Wilma (Jackson) Shadowens. He married Cheryl Chamness on August 29, 2003 in Marion. He was a truck driver. Survivors include his; Wife – Cheryl Shadowens of Energy Mother – Wilma “Cotton” Shadowens of Marion Daughter – Jessica Shadowens-Stearns (Cory) of Marion Daughter – Jennifer Shepard (Daniel) of Marion Son – Anthony Shadowens (Christy) of Goreville Daughter – Autumn Shadowens of Energy Son – Justin Stearns (Julie) of Cambria Son – Joshua Stearns (Keila) of Cambria Eleven grandchildren and one on the way Brother – Greg Shadowens (Michelle) of Herrin Brother – Scott Shadowens (Lora) of Crab Orchard Preceded by his Father and grandparents Funeral services will be Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11 am at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. John Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Marion.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Family of Michael Shadowens. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois
