Michael Edward Baseden

Pittsburg- Michael Edward Baseden, age 68, of Pittsburg, passed away at 9:21pm on Monday, April 23, 2018, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Michael was born in Murphysboro on June 25, 1949, the son of Clarence Edward and Betty Lee (Reeves) Baseden. He had retired from Norge/Maytag in Herrin. Survivors include his son- Timothy M. Baseden of Marion Daughter- Melinda A. Baseden and Glenn Marks of Pittsburg Step-Children- Jeremy Hess, April Hutson, and Michael Hess Grandchildren- Cody Baseden, Bridget Hancock, Morgan Baseden, Alydia Marks Step-Grandchild- Austin Hess Siblings-Linda and Butch Graff of Windslow, IN David Baseden of Murphysboro Mary Schuur of Elkville Marsha and Louis Carter of Vergennes Bill and Mary Baseden of DeSoto Keith and Jennifer Baseden of Huntingburg, Indiana Vicky and Craig Whittington of Willisville Several Nieces and Nephews As per his wishes, Michael will be cremated. A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.  Military honors will be presented by the Marion VFW and American Legion Posts with assistance from the United States Army National Guard at 3pm on Sunday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home to assist the family with final expense costs.
