Mary Elizabeth Keim, age 71, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 at Herrin Hospital in Herrin, Illinois.
Mary was born August 25, 1952 in Peoria, Illinois, a daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Melko) Presley. Mary moved to Southern Illinois in 1990. She had previously worked at Salvation Army in Chester, IL and at Memorial Hospital in Chester. She enjoyed going fishing, spending time with her grandchildren and was a devout mother.
She is survived by five children, Matthew F. (Mary Beth) Keim of Lonedell, MO, Emily K. Colvis of Ellis Grove, IL, Jenna E. Keim (Andy Dorsey) of Schaumburg, IL, Kerry R. (Brandi) Simmons of St. Elmo, IL, and Abigail N. (Lukas) Cullum of Herrin, IL; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild on its way; four brothers, Ron (Linda) Presley of Peoria, IL, Tim (Karen) Presley of Bartonville, IL, Lester (Laura) Presley of Osononowoc, WI, and Roy Presley of Peoria, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Presley and four siblings, Bob Presley, Kathy McBride, Dodie Presley, and Sharon Robinson.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with arrangements.
