Mark Anthony Williams

Marion- Mark Anthony Williams, 69, of Marion, formerly of Herrin, passed away at 4:20 PM, Sunday, April 8, 217 at Heartland Regional Medical Center of Marion. Mark was born on January 25, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to Donald L. and Encarna J. (Sanchez) Williams. He formerly worked as an X-ray technician in Western Kentucky. Later he worked as a truck driver and then as the breakfast cook for McDonalds in Herrin and Hungry’s in Herrin. He was raised catholic and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Survivors include- Brother- Larry D. Williams of Carterville Friends- Marilyn Walker and husband Mark of Marion Nieces He was preceded in death by his parents and brother- Robert Williams. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Willow Rest Cemetery in Carterville. Rev. David Dyer will officiate. Inurnment will follow. Memorial arrangements were made at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
