Margie "Louise" Galloway

Margie “Louise” Galloway, 93, of Crab Orchard, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 12:35 pm at Barnes-Jewish Hospital surrounded by her family. Margie “Louise” was born July 10, 1924 in Williamson County the daughter of Finley and Ethel (Ewell) McDonald. She married Walter Galloway on March 12, 1945 and he preceded her in death on December 7, 1984. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She liked to garden, sew, and embroidery.  Louise loved being outdoors, camping and fishing was a favorite activity. She is survived by her two sons, William Darryl Galloway, Kenneth Dale Galloway and one daughter Ethel Elaine Dunn and husband Patrick, all of Crab Orchard. She has six grandchildren; Chreisha Galloway Hill and husband Damon of Herrin, Shawn Galloway and wife Jennifer, Rebecca Galloway Schell, and Brandon Galloway all of Crab Orchard. Christina Dunn Holmes and husband Eric of Creal Springs, and Michelle Dunn Truitt and husband Jeremy of Crab Orchard. She has 17 great grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 4 Brothers, Floyd, Frank, Kenneth and Harold McDonald. 3 Sisters, Hazel Carter, Hallie Byrn, and infant Pauline McDonald and Daughter-in-law – Vickie Lynn Galloway. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 12 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Eric Holmes officiating.  Burial will follow in Ferrell Cemetery, south of Crab Orchard.  Visitation will be Thursday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
