Madaline Dunning

Madaline Dunning, age 89, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin, Illinois.

Madaline was born August 24, 1933 in Herrin, Illinois, a daughter of Joseph and Teresa (Eandi) Mamino. She married the love of her life, Bill Sanford Dunning on September 01, 1956 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Dunning was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She had worked many years, through all the changes of Norge, Maytag, and even Magic Chef.

She is survived by three children, Michael (Pam) Dunning of Beaver, Pennsylvania, Jeff Dunning of Herrin, and Debra (James) Stone of Herrin; six grandchildren- Kristin (Molly) Brooke of Texas, Mathew (Emily) Dunning of Pennsylvania, Andrew Dunning of New York, Tonya (Raul) Stone of Minnesota, Kyle Stone of Herrin, and Sierra (Matt) Bytnar of Cambria; eight great-grandchildren- Maya Brooke of Texas, Liam and Charly Dunning of Pennsylvania, Cameron, Samuel and Jacob Pearson of Minnesota, Audrey and Joey Bytnar of Cambria; sister-in-law- Dorothy Rogers of Pickens, South Carolina; special friend- Nancy and Dennis Juvers; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her spouse Bill Sanford Dunning; one daughter, Karen Dunning; her parents, Joseph and Teresa (Eandi) Mamino; and one sister, Christine Moschino.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with Father Mark Reyling officiating. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin.
