Loraine V. Akins

Loraine V. Akins, 95, of Marion, formerly of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 10:28 am at Herrin Hospital.
Loraine was born September 27, 1920 in Elgin the daughter of Harold and Irma (Wells) Jacobs. She married George Oros, he preceded her in death, she later married Carl Akins and he precedes her in death.
She was of the Catholic faith, she worked for the Secretary of State in Kane County, Illinois. Loraine served as a member of the Kane County Board. After the death of her husband she moved to Texas and when her health declined she moved to Marion to be near her son.
Loraine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her;
Son – George M. Oros and wife Frances of Marion
Two grandsons;
Nichols C. Oros of Arlington, Virginia
Carl F. Oros and wife Kathy of Nashville, Tennessee
Preceded by her Parents, Husbands, Daughter – Dianne Oros Gertman, One Sister and Brother.
A brief memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 7 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Father Richard Mohr officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Aurora, Illinois.
