Linda A. Smith

Linda A. Smith, 78, of Herrin, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, March 4^th, 2021. 

Linda was an amazing mother and friend to all who knew her. She always had a smile and a story to tell. She will be greatly missed.

Linda was born October 21^st, 1942 in Herrin, the daughter of Paul and Bramlett Rodgers Smith. After many working years she retired from General Dynamics. 

Survivors Include: 

Son- Joey Smith of Herrin

Son- Harold “Boo Boo” and Carrie Smith of Morristown, TN

Daughter- Carrie Jeralds of Herrin

Seven Grandchildren: 

Chase and Crystal Smith of Pittsburg, Alacia Manning of Goreville, Makaila Smith of Anna, Shelby and Noah Smith of Morristown, TN and Jessie Holland of Herrin

Three Great Grandchildren:

Arianna Camden of Goreville, Paisley and Kaylee Smith of Pittsburg

Brother- Larry Smith of Leesburg, FL

Many nieces, nephews and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters- Carolyn Brower and Loretta Smith

As per her wishes, she will be cremated. A time of visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the First Christian Church in Carterville.  Family and friends are asked to gather for a time of fellowship and remembrance.  Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
